Check out the 2006 National Design Triennial from the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum. Speak Up is featured, with an image from Dave Werner, former Portfolio Center student.

Christmas is a great way to mark the passage of time, as well as continued change throughout the world. James Brown died this Christmas. Goodbye, Godfather of Soul. Pentagram reinvented/redesigned Christmas. And, the world continued to turn on its axis. I also discovered COLOUR Lovers, and downloaded some excellent fonts from The Playground. Happy Holidays.

This morning, I spent some time visiting type resources, and as usual, I uncovered some interesting web sites. My findings follow:

Bookmark the new links.

Alas, now that my critique is done, I can devote some time to blogging and other personal endeavors. I would try to explain the last two weeks of my life, but frankly, if you haven't had a similar experience, it would be pointless. It is baptism by fire.

Limited edition Alvin Lustig prints are available on the Alvin Lustig web site. You can get the covers from A Season In Hell by Arthur Rimbaud, Three Lives by Gertrude Stein, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Amerika by Franz Kafka.

The Epidemik Coalition has started to produce some rad shoes. I love the CMYK Dunks. However, until they branch out into slip-on Vans, I'll just sideline it.

Threadless is still sporting $10 Tees, and they are adding new shirts everyday. Unfortunately, my bank account is based solely on principles of subtraction.

Other things at which you might look, time permitting, Nove Studio, Republik Design House, We Are Constance and Guilherme Marconi.

Take a look at the incredible work of the Vector Brigade.

There is a new version of Design Graphik, and as usual, it rocks. Every design blog on the web is plugging the new WDDG. I was also really impressed by Hank Huang's web site, Made in Xerox. Hank is a recent graduate of the Art Center College of Design in California, and his work is interesting.
